The American Society for Automation in Pharmacy (ASAP) Annual Conference wrapped up recently, and I was happy to participate, and to present as well. The event, held Jan. 15–17, in Amelia Island, Fla., was filled with thought-provoking presentations, market insights, new ideas, and networking. It is a “must do” event for me. If you missed it, I encourage you to put the next one on your calendar — mid-January 2026 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. You will not be disappointed.
So what were some of my takeaways from this year’s gathering? The pharmacy profession continues to face significant pressure on a variety of fronts, primarily drug reimbursement, yet opportunities for new services with better economics continue to arise. Technology is rapidly evolving and represents an opportunity to streamline workflow and drive efficiencies.
